Extracurricular Activities

Full-time mother of a toddler. Nuclear Medicine Club Officer. Chemistry Lab Employee. A concerned individual that does what I can by recycling & picking up trash wherever I see it, as well as many more acts to promote a healthy planet.

A Little Bit About Me

I am a mother of a 19-month-old toddler. I gave birth during the program & have encountered many challenging moments as I attain my degree in Nuclear Medicine. I am returning from the workforce after I was Medical Assistant Supervisor (2 years). I knew I wanted to do imaging after discussing patient images with one of the providers I worked with. I am originally from Riverside, Ca. I enjoy all things outdoors as well as take any opportunity to travel in the U.S. or abroad.

Why I Chose Oregon Tech and My Major

I chose Oregon Tech because of its reputation in the medical imaging community. I ended up choosing Nuclear Medicine as my imaging modality due to upperclassmen expressing how much they enjoyed the program & the instructors who taught it.

My Influential Professors

Once again, I have had the good fortune to have met some amazing instructors. Rosalind McClure, Christy VanRooyen, Kyle Chapman, Stephen Schultz, Shirlee Templeton, Vanessa Bennett, & Rick Hoylman. Each instructor listed has been integral in my continued success in my educational journey & I would not have been able to come this far without them.

My Greatest Learning Experience At Oregon Tech

My greatest learning experience has been when I rotate over to Sky Lakes Hospital to gain experience in a professional setting. I have been fortunate enough to learn tips that I can utilize in this next part of my educational journey....extern (which will begin in July.)

My Plans After Graduation

As soon as I graduate, I plan on putting my degree to use by working. As a treat, I also plan to visit Disneyland before starting work.
