Extracurricular Activities

I am a part of the Oregon Tech Track and Field team as a thrower. I do shot put, hammer throw, and weight throw. I am also the treasurer for Oregon Tech’s chapter of AED.

A Little Bit About Me

I grew up in a small town, Canby, Oregon and attended Canby High School. I played soccer, basketball, and track and field throughout my time there. I also participated in many clubs and believe these experiences in high school prepared me to branch out as I entered college. I have two sisters and I am in the middle. I love my family and friends and cannot thank them enough for their support and encouragement throughout my life. My hobbies include painting, hiking, listening to music, and practicing my sport.

Why I Chose Oregon Tech and My Major

My sister’s experience led me to choose OIT as the place to continue my education. I loved hearing her talk about the hands-on learning and small class sizes, and that is where I see myself most successful. I chose BHS as my major, so I would be prepared to enter into a DPT program.

My Influential Professors

My influential professor at Oregon Tech is Dr. Li. She is my advisor and professor for numerous classes I have taken throughout my three years at Oregon Tech. As I’ve gotten to know her more, she has become one of the most supportive and caring teachers I’ve had throughout my education. I am extremely grateful for Dr. Li.

My Greatest Learning Experience At Oregon Tech

My greatest learning experience has been my experience as a student-athlete at Oregon Tech. I have been able to better my leadership and time management skills on the track and in the classroom.

My Plans After Graduation

I plan on entering Oregon Tech/OHSU DPT program after I graduate in 2024.
